A few updates & reminders:
TOURNAMENTS NORMALLY TO START ON TUESDAY
2. In all FL SSGP West Coast events except the Cat II’s the tournaments all divisions except Men’s 55 & 60′s will start no earlier than Tuesday except in the rare case there is a 64 draw. In that case the TD will have the option of starting that division on Monday or finishing on Sunday. All divisions except Men’s 55 & 60′s will then have their finals on Saturday. Men’s 55 and 60′s will have their finals on Sunday and work backwards. Men’s 55′s draws will be a maximum of 16 players and start no earlier than Thursday. If more than 16 players enter, the best 16 will be chosen by all factors. Then remaining will be on alternate list. The idea is to allow men’s 55 and 60 to play more on the weekend and miss less work time; thereby encouraging more players to play. In all other division the idea is to finish on Saturday and work backwards. 32 draws would start on Tuesday, 16 draws on Wed, 8 draws on Thurs, etc. Also, by playing some matches on Sunday we are looking to increase club interest in watching the matches. Player will be able to practice on Monday from 1pm to 5pm but check-in will normally not be available until Tuesday. Note: University Park Cat II and the Meadows will be an exception to this and finish on Saturday unless there is rain.
• We are using the Coman TB for singles and doubles in all events
• To speed things up and improve line calls we are not brushing the long lines (side lines and center service) after a court is swept. It’s amazing how much easier it is too make line calls.
• Make sure to sign up for the consolation either at check in or before or after your match. You will not be entered automaticaly
